The Transanatolia exists of 7 riding days. The first day is on september 8th, one week later on Tuesday 14th the rally finishes in Antalya. On Wednesday 15th you give back your bike for the customsformalities, after which you fly home. The weather in Turkey in september is normally very nice, rain is exceptional. Temperatures can vary from 15 to 35 degrees Celcius. As we ride a lot in the mountains, conditions are good. However, drinking a lot of water is important. We sleep in pleasant hotels, with good supplies, and in a number of bivouacs in some very special places. Here we use local catering. Thanks to the contacts of Yoshimoto this will be an unique experience! In the bivouacs we will supply enough light for the competitors to work on their vehicles when the sun is long gone. You can bring your own tent, or sleep in a beg tent provided by the organisation. Just like it was done in the Dakar in the early days! Every day Memotours is prominently present with their 6x6 assistance truck. If necessary, mechanical repairs can be taken care off as much as necessary, with all necessaries nearby. And your equipment is always nearby. Thinking back of a beatiful day on the hotelterrace, enjoying some more summerdays in september in Turkey! Normally your vehicle insurance is valid in Turkey. Please check this before departure. All bikes will be transported back to Holland. for the 4x4's: every vehicle needs to be cleared at customs by the same person who brougth it into Turkey!
