De Transanatolia is initiated by Marcel Vermeij (Rallymaniacs) and Sönke Bonde. (Yoshimoto) Sönke has been living in Turkey for more than 20 years and organises offroad trips for many years, including rental bikes and good support with a back-up vehicle and mechanics. His local knowledge and network are priceless, and make sure the routes of the Transanatolia 2010 pass the nicest places and offer maximum offroad content together with decent bivouacs and good catering. Marcel Vermeij of Rallymaniacs.nl has a lot of rally experience, obtained in rallyraids throughout the world. Rallymaniac.nl offers the perfect platform to reach and interest rallyraid fans. For three years he co-organised the Eastern Europe Rally. Since 2005 he joined every "Le Dakar" as a journalist and has been working in the organisation of the Heroes Legend for four years.
